Visitor visa

A temporary resident visa, known as a visitor visa, is a necessary document for entry into Canada. This visa, which is placed in your passport, verifies that you meet the criteria to enter the country.

A visitor visa is typically required for the majority of travelers visiting Canada. In addition, if you are passing through a Canadian airport on your way to another destination, a visitor visa may be necessary.

Applying for a visitor visa can be easily done online.

How long you can stay

Visitors to Canada are generally allowed to stay for a period of up to 6 months.

The length of your stay may be altered at the discretion of the border services officer upon arrival. In such a case, your passport will be stamped with the date you must depart by or you may receive a visitor record documenting this information.

In the absence of a stamp in your passport, your stay in Canada will be limited to 6 months from the date of entry or until the expiration of your passport, whichever occurs first. If you need a stamp, you can request it from a border services officer or at the primary inspection kiosk at the airport if one is available.

Investor Vis

Government of Canada has various impressive immigrant investor programs that allow you to earn permanent residence in future. Foreign investors are most likely to apply for this immigration program to start a business or make collaboration with existing companies.

Owner Operator

An Owner-Operator Work Permit is an immigration pathway for entrepreneurs and their families. However, to be eligible for the program, the entrepreneur should be a sole proprietor or hold a minimum of 50.1% equity stakes in a Canadian company.

Yet another important criterion for this category is the benefit the business can offer the Canadian economy in terms of job creation or skill transferability to Canadians. However, a positive LMIA is still needed to apply for an Owner Operator Work Permit.

The Owner-Operator Work Permits are processed by the Federal program on a much faster timeline, and the permit may be issued for up to 2 years.
